Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking an ExperiencedBusiness Operations Specialist to join our Business Operations team. This position will act as a business integrator supporting the BGS Director for Commercial Modificationsin the BGS Cabin, Modifications, Maintenance & Digital Services organization. Position will be in Long Beach, CA.

In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to help BGS Commercial Modifications run their business, manage priorities, metrics, quality improvements, and maintain an integrated operating rhythm. This role will also serve as “Skyline Manager,” developing and maintaining the master modification schedule that integrates engineering milestones (design, analysis, test), procurement, tooling, manufacturing, installation windows, and airworthiness approvals.

Position Responsibilities:Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Supports Leader in various executive and team meetings (internal/external) by ensuring artifacts and agenda required are prepared/approved, meetings are running efficiently, and actions/notes are tracked to completion

  • Delivers outcomes while working in a fast paced, high visibility, ambiguous and ever-changing environment

  • Operationalizes, implements and integrates program business requirements

  • Develops artifacts, presentations and content

  • Assists in the development and integration of programs, plans, strategies and processes to meet business goals

  • Collects, organizes and provides data and metrics according to established processes within the management system

  • Supports the coordination and clarifies analysis with business partners to validate results and determine scope to meet long range business goals and develop business cases

  • Develops contingency plans for engineering or certification delays; rebaselines schedules and mitigates risks

  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external organizations for large scale complex plans to fulfill the broad level strategies and ensure organizational alignment

  • Ensures follow up action for issue resolution

  • Manages and updates operating tools (SharePoint, website, file shares, distribution lists, etc.)

  • Develop and maintain the master modification schedule that integrates engineering milestones (design, analysis, test), procurement, tooling, manufacturing, installation windows, and airworthiness approvals

  • Define required engineering resources (stress engineers, systems engineers, electrical/mechanical designers, lab/test resources, etc) and plan staffing to deliver modification cadence

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience)

  • 3+ years' experience leading projects in a cross-functional environment

  • 3+ years' experience working with senior leaders/executives to establish and execute on strategic plans and objectives

  • 3+ years' experience in a previous role where meticulous attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality was paramount

  • 1+ years' of experience in interpreting data and presenting analysis and recommendations to management

  • 1+ years' or experience developing and reporting performance metrics

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills / Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree or higher

  • Proficient with Microsoft Excel as a data manipulation tool (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, charting, etc.) and PowerPoint; experience with data visualization tools is a plus (e.g., Tableau, Smartsheet)

  • 3+ years experience in leading projects using Program/Project Management and Agile accepted standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK])

  • Experience in Skyline Management and Resource Forecasting

  • Experience in running a robust Risk, Issue, Opportunity (RIO) process

  • Highly flexible, adaptable, and resilient

  • Highly intuitive and proactive in anticipating business needs

  • Strong time management, problem solving, and organizational skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, team work, and receptive to feedback

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $101,150 – $136,850
