The Boeing Company is seeking a Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) Information Technology (IT) Engineerto join the Design Practices Ecosystem Program Management Office (PMO) Team in Long Beach, CA or Mesa, AZ. Help define, prototype, and integrate the systems, data, and services that will power that platform.

We are building the platform for the Design Practice Ecosystem to deliver guidance, capture institutional knowledge, and enable faster, traceable, and higher‑quality engineering decisions.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Senior and Consultant PLM IT Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Elicit, define, and validate requirements for current and future platform capabilities

  • Design, implement and support DP Ecosystem Platform, and facilitate systems-integration strategies for model-based tools, AI, and analytics

  • Manage systems data—data models, flows, governance, and access controls

  • Rapidly prototype database schemas and solution sets to evaluate technical approaches and inform long-term designs

  • Contribute to architecture development and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions

  • Contribute to the definition of multi year capability roadmaps in alignment with Org strategy

  • Enable increased adoption of tools by addressing user pain points

  • Promote software engineering practices that improve production operations and secure access

  • Contribute to root cause assessment and mitigation for critical production issues

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 9+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

  • 5+ years of database administration experience

  • 5+ years of proficiency in Python

  • 5+ years of experience in access control and security management

  • Experience in architecture development

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 5: 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Advanced technical degree (MS, PhD)

  • 7+ years in applying export controls to computing systems.

  • 5+ years working with SAFe or Agile methodologies

  • Demonstrated Mark Logic Database and SPARQL query development

  • Experience in building web based knowledge management collaborative systems.

  • Strong verbal and written communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills across technical and business audiences

  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and process improvement

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range for Senior level (Level 4): $126,650 – $182,850

Summary Pay Range for Consultant level (Level 5): $154,700– $224,250
