Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Procurement Field Representative to join our Global Field Operations team based in Long Beach, California. The successful candidate will be traveling primarily within the state of California as much as 75% of the time.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Facilitates supplier/subcontractor business relationships, delivery requirements and performance to contractual obligations and expectations.
  • Develops, executes, tracks and communicates recovery/mitigation plans to support division and program requirements.
  • Drives collaboration across multi-discipline teams in the resolution of challenges impacting the delivery of materials (Supply Chain, Engineering, Manufacturing, etc.).
  • Provides leadership, mentorship, and guidance to the California Global Field Operations team.
  • Leads and manages process improvement projects
  • Effective communication, both verbally and in writing. Excellent time management skills. Self-Starter.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
  • 5+ years of experience in root cause analysis and corrective action.
  • 5+ years of experience in a role that required Scheduling, Project and/or Program Management skills.
  • 3+ years of experience with coaching and mentoring team members

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience and ability to manage suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services.
  • Experience and ability to apply root cause analysis and corrective Action (RCCA) techniques
  • Experience in Project/Scheduling and Program Management skills
  • Experience working in Manufacturing Operations
  • 8+ years of experience managing suppliers/vendors to deliver products and services
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

Additional Verbiage:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $127,500 - $157,500
