Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Senior or Lead Project Management Specialist (Level 4 or 5) to join our Satellite Factory Integration team in El Segundo, California.

This position is responsible for resource management of monuments, facility resources, chambers, tooling, fixtures, and constantly being on the production floor, coordinating moves, and ensuring timeline is followed and capacity constraints are addressed. Supporting the Integrated Production Review Board for Capacity Analysis of outside programs and subsidiaries, bring hardware into the ELS Factory and utilizing resources. Working closely with GSO, Operations, BT&E, Production Engineering other subsidiaries in the factories, IPTs, and Programs. When conflicts arise between programs that cannot be worked out, a Program Control Board package needs to be generated for Leadership providing conflict details, inputs from programs with cost and schedule assessments, and recommendations on path forward.

Position Responsibilities – Senior Level 4:

  • Coordinates, integrates, analyzes, integrated production plans for programs currently in the El Segundo Factory

  • Provides studies/analysis (capacity), reports, planning efforts to determine impacts, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives

  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, works with production teams to develop mitigation plans

  • Develops and establish lead time requirements for resources

  • Facilitates integration of production plans, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry

  • Directs production phases of projects or subsystems of major projects from inception in the factory through completion

Position Responsibilities – Lead Level 5:

  • Oversees, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and integrated production plans for highly critical programs in the El Segundo factory

  • Provides high level studies/analysis (capacity), determines scope, constraints involving product development, production rates, process improvement, program initiatives to support leadership discussions and program priorities

  • Develops and executes the process and strategy for the integration of production plans and resources

  • Recognized as primary contact to establish Capacity Assessments, skyline outlooks, proposals and requirements for production plans

  • Authorizes commitment of resources by obtaining approvals from stakeholders

  • Oversees deployment of approved recommendations at Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Security Clearance Requirement:

This position requires an Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance.  (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Active DOD Top Secret Clearance

  • 8+ years of experience in program or project management

  • 8+ years of experience in a leadership role, leading teams or projects to successful completion

  • 8+ years of experience working on space flight and/or military hardware

  • 8+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Master’s Degree preferred

  • 8 + years of experience in finance, scheduling, industrial engineering, change management, strategy, program management, or project management role

  • Experience developing and maintaining integrated resource-loaded project schedules

  • Experience in a fast-paced Aerospace production environment with cross-functional teams

  • 8 + years of experience in Microsoft Project, Microsoft Project Server and/or Project Web Application

  • Experience working in ambiguous and fast changing environments

Shift:

This position is for 1st shift.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel:

Position may require travel up to 25% of the time.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:

Senior Level 4: $115,600 - $156,400

Lead Level 5: $141,950 - $192,050
