The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Emergency Dispatch Manager to join the Global Security Operations Center (GSOC) team in Mesa, AZ.

This manager will lead the Emergency Dispatch Center for The Boeing Company. The Boeing Emergency Dispatch Center serves as the 24/7/365 centralized hub of emergency operations for the Boeing Enterprise Security (BES) organization and provides situational awareness of Boeing’s global risk landscape. The GSOC also serves as an enterprise fusion center for the collection, analysis, and dissemination of geopolitical risk intelligence. The GSOC team facilitates the company’s global crisis management and travel security programs and provides emergency services (security/fire/medical) dispatching support to Boeing locations. The GSOC also hosts an embedded business partner presence to increase collaboration in areas such as supply chain security, cybersecurity, security technology, and global security.

This on-site role is based in Mesa, AZ and will report to the GSOC Senior Manager. As the Manager of Emergency Dispatch, you will be responsible for setting the Emergency Dispatch Center’s direction and priorities, in alignment with the broader BES organization’s strategy. The ideal candidate will have broad experience leading public safety dispatch and communications functions. This includes the development of value metrics, standard operating policies and procedures, crisis management protocols and demonstrated experience with vendors, technology, and contractors. The candidate will need to build and maintain strong internal partnerships with key stakeholders to include Information Technology, Communications, Security, Fire, EMS, law enforcement, Environmental Health & Safety, Legal, and other various business partners.

This role will collaborate with BES teams to include Security & Fire Operations, Threat Management, Business Continuity, Security Technology, Government (Industrial) Security, and site-based security leadership throughout the company. You will serve as a brand ambassador to the most senior leaders at The Boeing Company, government agencies, peer companies, and industry associations. This role requires flexibility and an availability to manage a 24/7 team, occasionally including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Emergency Dispatch program policies, procedures and performance metrics to include alerts and notifications to business partners, employees, travelers and senior leadership

  • Oversee the strategy and implementation of a BES Critical Event Management Capability

  • Oversee a team of Dispatchers and call takers tasked with providing excellent and empathetic client service to BES Stakeholders

  • Support effective incident monitoring and by identifying risks within the Boeing Enterprise

  • Oversee the delivery of emergency and non-emergency dispatch services to Boeing sites throughout the enterprise, along with a UL 2050-certified Central Station to monitor the company’s classified and proprietary alarm monitoring and response program

  • Create GSOC performance reports through collection, analysis, and data summarization trends

  • Develop and oversee continuous training and quality programs for GSOC personnel to achieve the highest levels of operational excellence and customer centric support

  • Ensure effective and efficient operation of the GSOC by establishing and maintaining strong relationships with outside vendors

  • Lead business collaboration within a cohesive, team oriented, and mission-focused environment

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience leading teams

  • 10+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • 5+ years of experience working in a collaborative environment such as a global security operations center, public safety answering point, and/or a UL Certified Central Alarm Receiving Station

  • Willing to work variable shifts, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays

  • Ability to travel 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 3+ years of experience with project management

  • Experience in managing teams that work 7x24x365

  • Experience with risk management within or related to information security

  • Experience with incident response management, security compliance strategies, risk assessment principles, crisis management, and policies and standards

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $111,350 - $150,650
