Boeing is searching for a Lead Program Specialist - Source-to-Pay Portfolio.  The position is available at any of the following Boeing sites: Miami, FL; Auburn, WA; Berkeley, MO; El Segundo, WA; Everett, WA; Hazelwood, MO; Mesa, AZ; North Charleston, SC; Renton, WA; Seal Beach, CA; Seattle, WA or Tukwila. WA.

This position will lead a complex modernization and improvement technology program within Enterprise Services, Technology & Systems supporting the Source-to-Pay (S2P) Value Stream for Indirect Supply Chain.

Enterprise Services is a team of 2,500+ employees whose collective mission is to enable the build of Boeing’s products. Enterprise Services provides strategic partnership and support to all Boeing business units through multiple service towers – creating outsized impact and value across the Enterprise. The individual in this role would be a part of Enterprise Services Operational Excellence & Transformation team.

This position will be responsible for daily integration of project milestones and deliverables over a complex technology modernization program aimed at delivering simpler, faster, and better total experience for the function and its stakeholders. In partnership with the Technology & Systems Operational Excellence team, this role will lead oversight of the technical project management teams supporting the various business objective; manage and mitigate risks, issues, and opportunities; track program budget, enabled value integration, and schedule performance; and support the evolution of the program’s roadmap.

This role will partner closely with all aspects of the organization's executive and senior management teams within Enterprise Services. You will use your influence and leadership to engage and coordinate with teams located across the global portfolio with support to numerous sites in multiple countries, provinces, and cities. This position and your work location may be located within the domestic U.S. It will require infrequent travel to visit stakeholders at other sites as business needs require.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Executes full lifecycle agile project management on multiple complex, high-priority initiatives from concept scope/definition, as well assuming those already started.

  • Understands and be able to clearly articulate current state, objectives, success criteria and milestone commitments, as well as any risks, issues and resolution actions.

  • Develops project and program plans at all levels across functional areas to achieve objectives within scope, time, quality, and constraints from initiation to post completion.

  • Engages stakeholders proactively to understand and confirm necessary requirements that will inform project / program deliverables.

  • Manages project and program plan inclusive of: schedules, reports, monitoring metrics, change activity, communicating and updating plans regularly throughout lifecycle.

  • Develops strong relationships with leadership, portfolio managers, key functional stakeholders and program sponsors.

  • Delivers insightful high-quality outcomes while managing governance with key stakeholders.

  • Manages change management process applying industry best standards to stakeholders.

  • Creates high quality presentations that tell business stories, provide progress updates and be able to create and lead detailed business cases for projects to be initiated.

  • Develops and on-going monitoring of detailed delivery plan against agreed commitments.

  • Defines and proactively manages risks, escalating to appropriate parties where appropriate.

  • Collects and interprets data, evaluate, reason, define problems, establish facts, draw valid conclusions, make valid judgments and decisions, and communicate effectively to relevant stakeholders through speech and presentations.

  • Defines relevant (Key-Performance-Indicator) KPI’s to assess project performance and business impact.

  • Analyzes technical or business problems and reach sound, independent conclusions.

  • Possesses a lean mindset, including a commitment to continuous improvement, efficiency, and waste reduction.

  • Demonstrates experience in applying lean principles to optimize processes, enhance productivity, and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within teams.

  • Owns, leads and/or supports a portfolio of projects/initiatives concurrently and meets critical deadlines.

Key Relationships & Stakeholders

  • Enterprise Services Executive Leadership Team

  • Multiple functional partners: IT, Data and Business Intelligence, Finance, HR

  • Service Tower Leadership (Indirect Supply Chain, Real Estate, Facilities & Asset Management, Executive Flight Ops)

  • Build external relationships with necessary vendors and/or consultant parties

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience in Program or Project Management

  • 5+ years of experience communicating and collaborating directly with internal or external customers, peers, other employees, and all levels of leadership

  • 5+ years of experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • 1+ years of experience managing projects and utilizing standard project management tools (e.g. MS Project, Gantt charts, MS PowerPoint, status charts, resource load charts)

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Program Management Professional (PMP), Lean/Six Sigma certifications

  • Experience with interpersonal and communication skills

  • Experience with continuous improvement

  • Experience in consulting and/or project management in a large, complex industrial company

  • Experience with taking problems, creating project solutions, and executing to deliver value for customers

  • Experience with mentoring and coaching employees

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range: $132,600 - $192,050
