Boeing Global Services, Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business is looking for a Senior Quality Manager (m/f/d) for the Norderstedt, GER (preferred location) or Burgess Hill, UK facility.

Position Summary: 

Join our team as a Senior Quality Manager (m/f/d), where you'll play a pivotal part in managing and developing teams across multiple Quality Management disciplines to ensure our organization consistently meets and exceeds quality standards. You will develop and execute strategic business plans, policies, and procedures that drive continuous improvement and operational excellence. By providing education and coaching on the Quality System, you will empower your teams to maintain compliance and deliver superior results.

In this exciting role you will lead process improvement initiatives, manage resources effectively, and foster strong partnerships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, and internal teams. Your ability to motivate and develop employees and first-level managers will be key to building a high-performing quality organization that supports our business objectives.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coach the Quality Assurance department across continental Europe—including France, Germany, Poland and the UK—as well as various
    sites in the APAC region such as Singapore, ensuring alignment with AS9100/9120 standards for aerospace components and materials.

  • Oversee both parts inspection and quality engineering functions, driving compliance and excellence throughout the quality lifecycle.

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans, policies, and procedures that support organizational goals and align with the headquarters in Hialeah, FL,
    reinforcing the connection to the broader C&E operations.

  • Ensure consistent site compliance across multiple international locations, fostering a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

  • Provide education, training, and coaching on the Quality System to empower teams and sustain compliance.

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with domestic and international teams, customers, suppliers, and partners to drive quality initiatives and operational efficiency.

  • Manage and lead the team through current backlog recovery efforts and implement systemic, long-term corrective action sustainment to strengthen quality performance.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports to support business objectives.

  • Oversee the departmental budget and fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Lead the team through completion of SAP S4/HANA backlog recovery, focusing on systemic long term corrective action sustainment.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)

  • In-depth knowledge of AS9100/9120 standards as well as FAA, CAA, EASA.

  • 12+ years of relevant professional experience.

  • 6+ years of leadership experience within a related field.

  • Fluent in English on a highly technical and professional level.

  • Only applicable for candidates aiming to work in Germany: Business fluent proficiency of German

  • Solid experience with common ERP systems with SAP being highly preferred.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Education: Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering or any other associate degree in a related field of study.

  • Previous experience as a functional leader, managing an international team of both individual contributors as well as other managers who all report to you.

  • Familiarity with international regulations and quality standards across Europe for the Aerospace and logistics industry.

  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.

  • Solid competencies in leading employees and the ability to create a motivating and structured work environment.

  • Profound knowledge of dimensional inspection tools and methods.

This position requires traveling up to 50% of the time primarily within Europe.
