The Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Engineering Design Center has an exciting opportunity for an Associate or Mid- Level Product Data Management Specialistto support engineering release for the site.

The role ensures the product definition engineering release data meets technical, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control. You will provide common, efficient processes, effective tools, and skilled resources for the release of Engineering Definition.

You will measure and strive to improve the quality of our products.  Successful candidates will work in a fast-paced environment, working both independently and as part of a team to provide Product Definition Release and Data Management for the Engineering team. 

Key skills to be successful in this role include good communication skills, attention to detail, and being open to new ideas and able to challenge the team to lead on safety and quality.

This position is an onsite position. The selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite in North Charleston, SC.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assist with activities to identify and document product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management and engineering processes.

  • Assist with plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control.

  • Support the monitoring of adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; assists with audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements.

  • Support certification plans, integrated process architecture infrastructures, process models, product structure definitions and/or data requirements/data management processes.


This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technical Field

  • 1+ years of experience with industry data requirements

  • 1+ years of related work experience

  • 1+ years’ experience with CATIA V5 or ENOVIA (or equivalent 3D CAD design software)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Familiarity with engineering release processes

  • Associate or Bachelor's Degree in a technical field

Associate: (Level 2):
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 1 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor, 3 years' related work experience, etc.).

Mid-Level (Level 3):

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Associate) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Bachelor+1 years' related work experience, 5 years' related work experience, etc.).

Associate Level: 63,750-86,250

Mid-Level: 79,050-106,950
