Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking to provide students of Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) certified courses with the opportunity to join our 787 production teams working as an Aircraft Painter in North Charleston, South Carolina on a variable shift. Your BPET Instructor Endorsement Form will outline the specific roles for which your course qualifies you for a direct offer of employment. Following your application, a Boeing recruiter will reach out to discuss these roles and ensure a smooth transition into your new role.

Eligibility:

This position is exclusively open to students who have completed Boeing Pre-Employment Training (BPET) certified courses.

  • BPET Instructor Endorsement Form: This form must be issued by your instructor.

  • Updated Resume: Your resume should provide a comprehensive overview of your hands-on tool experience and/or manufacturing skill sets.

Primary Responsibilities:   

  • Must have the ability to complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to obtain and maintain all required certifications.

  • Prepares exterior surface of aircraft for painting.

  • Makes necessary patterns, performs layout and applies prescribed primers, paints and finishes to exterior of aircraft.

  • Applies aircraft finishes and external markings to aircraft sections.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Be a student or recent graduate of a Boeing Pre-Employment Training course that is certified for the BPET Aircraft Painter role.

Physical demands and requirements:

  • Ability to wear fall protection gear, safety equipment and masks.

  • Experience painting aircraft, automotive, industrial, or general painting.

Drug Free Workplace:

Shift:

This position is for a variable shift (shift 4).  Variable shift means you will be placed on a shift at the time of hire based on business needs at that time. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation is needed.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $48,000 - $49,000​
