The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Experienced or Senior Contract Management Specialist-Boeing South Carolina Delivery Center to join the team in North Charleston, SC

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Up to 25% domestic or international travel may be required.  Travel may be heavily concentrated over a short period of time.

The selected candidates will be a key member of the delivery team representing The Boeing Company to airline and lessor customers from around the world.  In addition to managing contractual and technical risks, the selected candidate will play a critical role in managing the delivery lifecycle of a commercial aircraft transaction.  Successful candidates will have the ability to balance The Boeing Company’s priorities while also maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, and our airline and lessor customers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for building effective relationships while providing daily guidance to Airplane Programs and supporting functional organizations at the Boeing South Carolina Delivery Center regarding contractual positions, risk matters, delivery processes and customer perspective

  • Provide guidance and support to BCA Contracts Regional Directors on aircraft delivery activities

  • Initiate and maintain close coordination with Quality, Engineering, Operations, Business Operations, Flight Operations and those who have Organization Designation Authorization (ODA) from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) on regulatory matters to support aircraft delivery and fly-away

  • Accountable for developing, negotiating, interpreting and administering highly complex contractual agreements in support of commercial aircraft deliveries and financing structures with a diverse set of customers

  • Lead and provide oversight on contractual dispute resolution activities, including aircraft delivery commitment positions that minimize risk exposure to Boeing while delivering aircraft in a timely manner

  • Summarize highly complex contractual issues and develop creative solutions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Higher

  • 3+ years of customer-facing, or equivalent, experience

  • 3+ years of experience working independently in a fast paced environment and in teams using analytical, collaboration and communication skills

  • Experience identifying and mitigating risk

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of customer-facing, or equivalent, experience

  • 5+ years of experience working independently in a fast paced environment and in teams using analytical, collaboration and communication skills

  • 5+ years of experience with complex contracts

  • 5+ years of experience developing negotiating strategies, obtaining management approval and closing negotiations

  • Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills. Has the ability to persuade and negotiate successfully, particularly given the need to work on a cross-functional basis

  • Experience presenting complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to a variety of internal and external audiences at all levels

  • Intermediate skills with Adobe Acrobat, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel (or equivalent tools), with the ability to perform calculations and analyze data within excel

  • Typical Education & Experience: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 15 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Masters +13 years’ related work experience, 19 years’ work experience, etc.)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Level 4 pay range: $107,100 - $144,900

Summary Level 5 pay range: $133,450 -180,550
