Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) is hiring for Electrophysics Engineer (Associate level) to join the 787 Airplane Systems Design Engineering team in North Charleston, SC.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Assists in developing and validating requirements for various communication, sensor, electronic warfare and other electromagnetic systems and components.

  • Assists in the development and validation of electromagnetic requirements for electrical\electronic systems, mechanical systems, interconnects and structures.

  • Assists in developing architectures to integrate components into higher level systems and platforms.

  • Performs trade studies, modeling, simulation and other forms of analysis to predict component and interconnects performance and to optimize design around established requirements.

  • Defines and conducts simple tests to validate performance of designs to requirements.

  • Collects and analyzes data on supplier and partner performance to ensure compliance to requirements.

  • Provides support to products throughout their lifecycle from manufacturing to customer use by recommending engineering solutions to issues.

  • Supports project management by preparing and presenting project status data.

  • Writes simple sections of proposals to support development of new business.

  • Works under general supervision.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

  • 2+ or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Engineering experience related to the development, selection, and/or revision of parts, materials, and process specifications for production testing, electrical subsystems, aircraft interiors, and other aircraft systems.

  • Experience in production planning, including ownership of value stream build plans.

  • Experience with 787 structures and/or systems.

Summary Pay Range for Associate Level (Level 2): $91,800 – 124,200
