Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for Project Management Specialist (Experienced or Senior) to join the team in North Charleston, South Carolina.  

The Project Management Specialist will lead project execution for the 787 Boeing South Carolina Certification Team. You will work with leadership, certification and integration project managers and design engineers, and a cross-site teams to build and maintain integrated project plans.

Primary Responsibilities:

  •  Leads preparation, development, coordination and scheduling activities for maintaining an integrated plan to meet program and/or project requirements in accordance with project management industry standards.

  • Identify and communicate project dependencies, health, and potential risks/issues early and often to reduce impact and consequence to project plans

  • Develops, collects, coordinates and provides data and updates tasks to maintain status of programs, schedule, customer and compliance in support of the Certification team

  • Creates and provides reports on performance variances, project status, and resourcing forecast to the team and leadership as required.

  • Manages availability and travel for cross site certification needs. Communicates plan changes and recovery plans to ensure commitment to stakeholders.

  • Develop and improve Certification standard processes/policies and tools/templates

  • Strengthen schedule coordination through improved transparency on resources, requirements, and availability.

  • Proactively aligns scope of work with available resources, enhance certification predictability and stability across the value stream.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

  • 5+ years of experience managing projects and using standard project management tools.

  • 5+ years of experience communicating with employees, customers, peers, and multiple levels of leadership.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. 

  • PMP Certification.

  • Experience with Data Analytic tools (Tableau, PowerBI)

  • Experience developing and integrating strategic projects, plans, and initiatives to meet business goals.

  • Experience working in a multifaceted work environment, including managing multiple priorities.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proven ability to support, lead, and delegate the project team's responsibilities and tasks through all stages of the project life cycle.

  • Flexibility to work outside of standard business hours (evenings, weekends, and holidays).

Summary Pay Range:

  • Level 3: 94,350-127,650

  • Level 4: 118,150-159, 850
