Job Description

At Boeing, we innovate and collaborate to make the world a better place. We’re committed to fostering an environment for every teammate that’s welcoming, respectful and inclusive, with great opportunity for professional growth. Find your future with us.

The Boeing Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) organization is seeking a Food Services Manager to join their team in North Charleston, SC or Hazelwood, MO.

As a Food Service Manager, you would manage day-to-day Enterprise Food Services (EFS) operations and lead EFS analysts across the United States. Responsible for regional operational governance of food service suppliers, supplier accountability and escalation management, capital asset planning and replacement, and equipment repair for café assets. This includes coaching and developing analysts, driving operational consistency, and ensuring supplier performance aligns with business needs and standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Oversees regional operational governance for EFS across the United States (U.S.), enforcing standards and service-level expectations with suppliers
  • Owns supplier accountability: defines, monitors and enforces supplier KPIs, corrective action plans, and contract compliance
  • Manages escalations from sites, analysts, and stakeholders; coordinates rapid resolution and root-cause remediation
  • Leads, coaches and develops a dispersed team of EFS analysts — sets objectives, conducts performance reviews, and builds analyst capability
  • Maintains operational consistency across regions through standard processes, playbooks, and training
  • Directs capital asset planning and replacement for café equipment; prioritizes spend based on risk, utilization and lifecycle
  • Oversees equipment repair processes for café assets — vendor selection, service windows, parts management, and warranty enforcement
  • Participates in sourcing decisions and provide technical/operational oversight of suppliers and service partners
  • Partners with stakeholders (facilities, procurement, finance, human resources (HR), and business units, etc.) to align EFS strategy with broader organizational objectives
  • Tracks and reports performance metrics, cost-to-serve, and program health to leadership

Functional Excellence Competencies:

  • Accountability and Responsibility
Demonstrates ownership for supplier performance, analyst development and regional EFS outcomes
  • Adaptability
Maintains effectiveness through changing site requirements, supplier models, and surge events (e.g., new site rollouts, menu/pop-up programs)
  • Change Management
Drives adoption of new governance processes, tools and supplier models; supports stakeholders through transitions
  • Continuous Improvement
Identifies process inefficiencies (repairs flow, vendor service level agreement (SLA) adherence, asset planning) and leads improvement initiatives with measurable impact
  • Continuous Learning
Seeks and acts on feedback; stays current on food service operations trends, vendor management best practices and equipment technologies
  • Enabling Technology / Innovation & Invention
Leverages operational systems (work order, asset management, vendor portals) and proposes integrations or tools that improve performance and scale
  • Planning and Organizing
Plans regional maintenance/asset replacement cycles, analyst coverage models, and supplier audit schedules; allocates resources for peak demand and projects
  • Strategic Decision Making
Balances short-term operational fixes with long-term capital planning and supplier strategies; makes sourcing and replacement decisions grounded in data and risk assessment
  • Teamwork
Fosters a collaborative environment across analysts, suppliers and cross-functional partners to meet common goals and improve site experience

Technical Competencies

  • Systems Thinking
Understands interdependencies among suppliers, facilities teams, finance, procurement and site operations; anticipates impacts of changes and aligns plans accordingly
  • Supplier Governance & Contract Compliance
Establishes governance frameworks, scorecards and escalation paths; ensures supplier adherence to contract terms, food safety and brand standards
  • Asset Management & Capital Planning
Manages lifecycle planning for café equipment, replacement prioritization, budgeting and reconciliation with finance
  • Maintenance & Repair Execution
Defines work-order processes, vendor dispatch rules, spare-parts strategy and warranty claim management to minimize downtime
  • Data-Driven Performance Management
Uses performance data and analytics to monitor supplier SLAs, drive continuous improvement and inform capital decisions
  • Risk & Escalation Management
Rapidly assesses operational risk (food safety, asset failure, supply disruption) and manages escalations through to closure
