Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for an(IFE) In Flight Entertainment Team Lead (2nd Shift).

This position will support the 787 Program Boeing South Carolina (BSC) Final Assembly and Delivery (FAD) Building 88-30 POS 3 2nd Shift inNorth Charleston, SC.

The Team Lead will be responsible for, but are not limited to, performing tasks in the following areas; pre-shift planning, crew meetings, team status updates, labor loss, production control, training, process improvement and Lean/BPS.

In this role you will plan, schedule, and arrange activities for the BSC Flight line. You will also perform and provide the necessary coaching to support activity execution of the following:

  • Flight test installations and functional testing.

  • Familiar with A Deck product installation and operation.

  • Troubleshoot electrical and entertainment systems to isolate mechanical or electrical/electronic faults and repairs faulty components.

  • Resolves problems during operation and testing of deliverable products.

  • Documents repair, test, and inspection results.

  • Able to work closely with our Suppliers to resolve issues to ensure Deliverables.

You must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the Team Lead function.

  • Process improvement and Lean/BPS

  • Builds effective resource plans that support SOW execution and achievement completion with team and crew coordination.

  • Identifies and communicates risks to First Line Leader with efficiency.

  • Monitors and reports daily progress to plan across multiple functions.

  • Works with support organizations and First Line Leader to mitigate performance risk.

  • Documents and communicates shift turnover.

  • Establish overtime requirements, execution plan and staffing.

  • Responsible for crew level oversight of 5S.

  • Support teammates to improve their job performance, including identifying training.

  • Verifies accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection.

  • Ability and professionalism in support of airline customer interaction.

  • Identifies KPI (Key Performance Indicators) and LMS Kaizan improvement actions and follows up with actions and tasks associated at weekly Kamishibai and Gemba walks.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at North Charleston, SC (BSC)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Minimum of one year of 787 Operations experience

  • Familiar with A Deck and system troubleshooting

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Power Point, Excel, and Word)

  • Computing & operating systems: Velocity, IVT and DFK

Summary Pay Range:  $ $72,000 – 76,000​
