Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Interiors Subject Matter Expert (Level D) to join our team in Final Assembly in North Charleston, South Carolina on 1st shift!

Successful candidates will be responsible for performing tasks in the following areas: factory floor, flight line, shop area, at height, confined spaces and others. They must be a dynamic, self-motivated teammate. This position is to support the Pos 2 interiors team inclusive of any baseline or rework. The shop supports the 787 program over the entire North Charleston site; working all manner of interiors. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads and completes advanced interiors rework and resolves high-risk interiors non-conformances with minimal work instructions and oversight.

  • Investigates complex product defects and plans, organizes, and completes advanced large-scale interiors removal and restoration processes with various stakeholders.

  • Identifies and advises on improvements to production restoration methods, tools, and processes.

  • Interfaces with external customers.

  • Leads training and mentoring efforts to enhance skills across the production system for the interiors team.

  • Lead and develop employees and train in all facets of interiors.

  • Ability to drive complex assignments with limited supervisor oversight

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. 

The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working on BCA interiors and complex rework

  • 5+ years of experience working with Business Class seats and supplier integration

  • 5+ years of experience demonstrating formal or informal leadership skills

  • 5+ years of experience managing complex projects

Preferred Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Experience on 787 program working with interiors and customers

  • Experience working in Velocity and with supplier drawings

  • Experience working with operations personnel, manufacturing and SIT engineers

  • Experience developing root cause corrective actions

Relocation:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $81,900 - $86,450​
