The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level Enterprise Architect to join the team in North Charleston, SC; Hazelwood, MO; Seattle, WA; or Plano, TX.

This position offers an incredible opportunity for the right candidate to contribute to the transformation of Boeing’s key operations, including engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise resource planning capabilities across the entire organization.

You will play a crucial role in turning vision into strategy developing actionable plans, communicating complex challenges, exploring innovative solutions, and creating information and data models. Collaborating with diverse global teams of Information Technology (IT), engineering, manufacturing, and business professionals, you will help shape the future of our operations.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Apply architecture principles, policies, strategies, and concepts to ensure architecture solutions align with requirements, strategies, and standard technologies

  • Support of IT architecture concepts, technology standards, tools, techniques and methodologies

  • Model and analyze data from a technical and total business viewpoint, then integrate into an overall solution and application systems architecture

  • Solve complex technical problems through development of advanced technical concepts

  • Interpret business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and proposed solutions

  • Identify dependencies, risks, and opportunities across diverse portfolios of IT projects and investments

  • Identify key tasks, technical objectives, resources needed to achieve outcomes

  • Ensure strategies are carried out and monitor results to adjust as needed

  • Consult and advise executive leaders on options, analysis, and recommendations of complex problems

  • Summarize technical information into easy-to-understand business language

  • Ensure that target architectures are integrated across functional areas including product lifecycle management, manufacturing operations management, and enterprise resource planning

  • Streamline and enhance enterprise governance frameworks in line with industry best practices

  • Develop business, systems, and technology roadmaps aligned to business unit viewpoints for Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA), Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) and Boeing Global Services (BGS)

  • Change agent to drive digital transformation and new working models between business and IT

  • Select and apply appropriate visualizations (models, diagrams, views, etc.) to analyze and/or communicate concepts and future directions

  • Establish cross-functional partnerships and influences and facilitates agreements for mutual benefit

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience leading large scale, cross functional projects

  • 3+ years of experience planning and executing optimization initiatives

  • 3+ years of experience leading change management and process

  • 3+ years of experience communicating and presenting with the ability to effectively convey complex information to global audiences

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in IT Architecture and Development

  • Experience in designing, building and delivering information technology and services

  • Experience connecting business architecture and capabilities to solve architecture

  • Experience with The Open Group Architecture Framework (TOGAF) methodology, Dassault CAMEO, Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) representation of architectures

  • Experience with multiple software development languages and methodologies, including Agile and Development Operations (DevOps)

  • Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI), data analytics, semantics, machine learning, deep learning or cognitive science

  • Experience managing supplier relationships and performing supplier technology evaluations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $99,450 - $143,750
