Emergent Operations in Charleston SC, a Fabrication Division of Boeing Commercial Airplanes is seeking an Experienced Numerical Control Programmer. This role will require individuals that are capable of adapting to a dynamic team with critical deliverables and urgent factory support. They will need to have the ability to collaborate with others while keeping a “think outside the box” mindset. teammate will be expected to interface with global partners and internal stakeholders.

Teammate must be able to provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience. Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility. Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work. Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment. Works under general direction.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides numerical control, machining and programming technical experience.
  • Establishes technical requirements for manufacturing and producibility.
  • Plans, creates, verifies and revises Machine Control Data (MCD), geometry and documentation that directs the operations for a complete spectrum of numerically controlled equipment required to manufacture and inspect parts, tools and assemblies for departmental work.
  • Plans and guides the development and integration of new machining techniques and manufacturing methods, processes, software and equipment.
  • Works under general direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Proficient in CATIA V5 Programming
  • Proficient in Vericut
  • Experience interpreting GD&T and can apply the concepts for programming.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3 or more years NC programming experience
  • 3 or more year 5 Axis Machining
  • Computing knowledge basic operation, Microsoft office product.
  • Candidate has an aptitude for abstract reasoning.
  • Ability to collaborate with both the engineering work force and the mechanics on the factory floor.
  • Familiar with Velocity and CMES environment.
  • The ability to interpret data and make recommendations for possible solutions
