We are seeking a dedicated Occupational Health and Safety Specialist (Associate) to join The Boeing Company in the Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) team within the Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) division, located in North Charleston, SC

This role is critical in ensuring the health and safety of our workforce while promoting environmental stewardship across the 787 operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in developing and implementing EHS programs that align with regulatory requirements and industry best practices, fostering a culture of safety and sustainability. By collaborating with cross-functional teams, the successful applicant will help drive initiatives that minimize environmental impact and enhance workplace safety, contributing to Boeing's commitment to a sustainable future in aviation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Supports the planning, implementation and assessment of occupational health and safety programs and processes.

  • Drafts health and safety programs that provide consistent approaches to risk reduction and compliance.

  • Investigates safety and health incidents and complaints.

  • Collect, analyze, and present inputs to enablers to improve Serious Injuries and exposures to Serious Injuries.

  • Collaborate with peers and other essential teams across the 787 program and EHS

  • Support stakeholder adherence to company and regulatory safety and health requirements

  • Knowledge of emerging issues, regulations and legislation related to company operations

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience performing Occupational Safety duties in an industrial environment

  • 1+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)

  • 1+ years of experience performing health and safety risk assessments, developing and managing safety programs, and performing audits

  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • Experience with addressing occupational health and safety hazards related to aircraft flight and ground operations or manufacturing process

  • Experience with workplace safety and Industrial Hygiene

  • Experience in working with environmental team

  • Experience with hazardous energy control programs

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range : $82,450 - $111,550
