Boeing South Carolina (BSC) is seeking a Process Engineer(Associate or Experienced) to join our Engineering Design Center team in North Charleston, South Carolina.  This role blends engineering analysis with workforce strategy, shaping solutions and the teams that deliver them.

This role influences both engineering solutions and workforce development across the 787 program. It has a meaningful impact on site onboarding and training, efficiently raising team and individual performance. By applying your skills and expertise, you deliver sitewide improvements in speed, quality, and team capability.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate and Experienced Engineers.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyze engineering design, manufacturing, and support requirements to optimize complex processes using industry-standard methods and lean principles.

  • Support program initiatives and deploy new technologies to improve process efficiency and first-time quality.

  • Partner with cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, quality, supply chain, customers) to remove barriers and accelerate project delivery.

  • Create systems to rapidly develop engineering talent in support of program priorities.

  • Drive continuous improvement through data-driven pilots, standardization, and safety-first practices.

  • Function as a Change Agent to orchestrate a Lean Transformation Model within the 787 Engineering organization.

  • Engage leaders at all levels of 787 Engineering to refine their management practice by connecting the dots of Lean principle to practical application.

  • Collaborate with Program-level leadership teams to develop core Engineering Lean training content and application framework.

  • Facilitate product & process improvement workshops to address complex, organizational-level problems: Plan and execute entire events using structured problem-solving methodologies.

  • Strong problem solver experienced in Lean methods, process optimization, and program initiatives.

  • Passionate about training, coaching, and scaling team skills to increase productivity and retention.

  • Results-focused with a track record of improving key performance indicators that align with company priorities.

Work Authorization Statement: 

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our North Charlestown, NC location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.

  • 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 2 or more years' of experience working within a cross-functional team.

  • 2 or more years' of experience leading lean projects.

  • Experience with project management, lean, and Six Sigma.

  • Experience in leading and integrating teams through the product lifecycle.

  • Proficiency building strong relationships.

  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.

  • Knowledge and application of Business Acumen.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range:

  • Associate (Level 2): $83,300 - $112,700

  • Experienced (Level 3): $100,300 - $135,700
