Position Overview:

Boeing Commercial Airplanes has an exciting opportunity for Senior Supplier Quality Production Specialist (Investigations) to join our Supplier Quality Teams supporting the Boeing South Carolina Factory.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Lead investigations into supplier quality issues, utilizing root cause analysis techniques to identify and resolve problems effectively.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Supplier quality field representatives, engineering, manufacturing, and procurement, to ensure alignment on quality standards and expectations.

  • Develop and implement quality assurance plans and processes for suppliers, ensuring compliance with Boeing quality standards and regulatory requirements.

  • When required, conduct supplier audits and assessments to evaluate quality systems, processes, and performance metrics.

  • Provide technical guidance and support to production and suppliers in the resolution of quality-related issues.

  • Monitor supplier performance metrics and develop action plans for improvement as necessary.

  • Facilitate training and development programs for suppliers and the junior peers to enhance their competencies.

  • Prepare and present reports on supplier quality performance, high impact investigation progress and status etc. to senior management and stakeholders.

  • Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to supplier quality management.


Basic Qualifications(Required Skill/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field

  • Minimum of 12+ years of experience in supplier quality, preferably in the aerospace industry.

  • Strong knowledge of aerospace quality standards (e.g., AS9100, ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.

  • Experience in conducting high impact root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement.

  • Proficiency in quality management tools and software.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills & Experience):

  • Experience interfacing with suppliers.

  • Experience working with the Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM).

  • Since this involves supporting internal customers (Production, Supply Chain etc..), Experience independently leading the investigation team is highly preferred.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range: $103,700 - $140,300
