Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced or Senior Quality Production Specialist - Investigations (Level 2 or 3) to join our Quality Assurance Investigation team located in North Charleston, South Carolina.

The primary focus of this role will be creating and managing corrective and preventative actions to improve production performance by eliminating and preventing nonconformities, undesirable situations, and risks throughout Boeing 787 production processes. In this role one will be expected to: collaborate and communicate with internal and external stakeholders, track and respond to supplier communication, and support Program BPS structure.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and validates product non-conformances and disposition type, quality procedures and engineering requirements.

  • Performs analysis to identify and evaluate the quality of products, operations and processes to Quality Management System requirements, applicable company procedures, contract requirements or government regulations.

  • Applies knowledge of aerospace design, systems and integration to perform failure and forensic analysis of aerospace components and systems.  

  • Trains and mentors fellow employees in the Quality Management System.

  • Performs root cause analysis on the nonconformance to identify the cause and prevent reoccurrence.

  • Independently develops, modifies and documents actions to assure problem resolution or to implement corrective/preventive action and documents resolution.

  • Obtains corrective action on nonconforming plans and hardware/processes.

  • Negotiates concurrence, obtains commitments for taking preventive and corrective action, prioritizes quality activities and ensures problem resolution.

  • Reviews and validates the corrective action plans and identifies affectivity to ensure completion.

  • Reviews and implements corrective action on audit results to ensure media is stored and handled per engineering defined requirements.

  • Interprets industry standards and provide recommendations for implementation.

  • Creates analytical reports and coordinates with the responsible parties for internal/external distribution. 

  • Works under general direction.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ years of experience with conducting quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments

  • 1+ years of experience in collecting data from multiple sources, performing analysis and presenting data in a meaningful way

  • 3+ years of experience using all the following Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel and Outlook)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality

  • 3+ years experience developing presentations for senior leadership

  • 787 Program Experience

  • Experience working directly with suppliers.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary Pay Range:  (Level 2):  $71,400 - $96,600

Summary Pay Range:  (Level 3):  $89,250 - $120,750
