The Boeing Company is currently seeking a Senior Occupational Health and Safety Specialist to join the team in either North Charleston, SC.

Join Boeing’s EHS team in beautiful Charleston, SC, supporting the 787 Dreamliner program. This role offers a hands‑on opportunity to protect employee health and safety and drive environmental stewardship initiatives across a rapidly growing campus.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Team Lead to manage work statements and collaborate with EHS professionals

  • Make timely, well-informed decisions and demonstrate decisiveness

  • Oversee multiple site projects from planning through completion

  • Anticipate critical events, identify required resources, and assign responsibilities with clear deadlines and performance expectations

  • Foster stakeholder engagement, provide support, and drive cross-functional collaboration

  • Resolve safety issues ranging from routine to complex through effective problem-solving

  • Conduct incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent recurrence

  • Perform routine workplace observations and audits to verify compliance and identify hazards

  • Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety and operational performance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher

  • 5+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)

  • 5+ years of experience assessing and evaluating risk

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant field (Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health & Safety, etc.)

  • Associate Safety Professional (ASP) or Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred

  • 9+ years of experience working in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS)

  • 3+ years of experience in managing projects

  • Managing construction projects preferred

  • Experience with aircraft systems

  • Experience with fall protection systems

  • Experience developing and implementing process improvements

Pay & Benefits:

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations

Summary pay range: $119,000 - $161,000
