This is a hands-on role delivering CH-47F academic, practical and on‑the‑job training so new technicians walk away job-ready, confident and competent — all to Defence regulatory standards.

What you'll be doing:

  • Deliver CH-47F B2 avionics training (theory and practical) using approved Learning Management Packages (LMPs) and schedules.
  • Take on CH-47F Course Manager duties when required.
  • Develop and improve training materials, practical activities and assessment tools.
  • Keep training aids and simulators in top nick and support their upkeep.
  • Stay current as an aircraft maintainer and contribute to the DASR Part 147‑aligned training system.
  • Provide excellent support to students and stakeholders across Army Aviation at Oakey.

Who we want:

  • CH-47F Avionics Type Qualification (B2 MAML) or equivalent.
  • Around 10 years' experience as a Rotary Wing B2 aeroskills technician, supervisor or maintenance manager.
  • Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Avionics) — required.
  • Must be an Australian citizen (Defence security requirement).

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience delivering training in the Defence environment.
  • Strong people and team skills for working with multi-trade teams.
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116) or willingness to complete.
  • Familiarity with DASA Part 147 and Part 66 regs.
  • Solid courseware development, mentoring and coaching skills.

What's in it for you:

  • Permanent role with Boeing Defence Australia on a high‑profile program.
  • A safety-first, people-focused workplace that values trust, ownership and innovation.
  • A chance to shape industry-standard training and make a real impact on Army Aviation capability.

Boeing is committed to an inclusive workplace and developing great people. Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements.

Ready to take off? If you're keen to lift your career and you meet the requirements above, we want to hear from you. Apply via the link or Boeing Defence Australia careers portal or contact our recruitment team for more info.
