The Opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia (BDA) is seeking a detail‑focused Technical Training Developer (part‑time) to join our embedded workforce supporting Army aviation training for the CH‑47F Chinook. If you're passionate about military aviation, learning design and supporting the next generation of technicians, we want to hear from you.

Why this role matters

  • Play a key role ensuring Chinook LMPs (Learning Management Packages) are accurate, clear and fit for purpose to support safe, effective training for air and ground crews.
  • Work closely with Platform SMEs to translate technical data into compliant training products under Army Aviation Training Centre (AAvnTC) standards and the System Approach to Defence Learning (SADL).
  • Contribute to Australia's capability by supporting continuing airworthiness, flight safety and operational readiness of the Chinook fleet.

This role is based at Swartz Barracks, Oakey.  

As a Technical Training Developer at Boeing you will:

  • Conduct training design duties as per the System Approach to Defence Learning (SADL)
  • Implement amendments IAW AAvnTC Standard Operating Processes (SOPs)
  • Maintain assigned LMPs
  • Adhere to AAvnTC policies and procedures
  • Liaise with LMP stakeholders
  • Any task as directed by SO1 Workforce & Training Branch (W&TB).

To be considered for the role you will have:

  • Experience in training design and development
  • Possess a working knowledge of the SADL process
  • Hold a current NV1 Security Clearance
  • Experience working in a Defence environment.

Desirable:

  • Working knowledge and experience in the LMPSS program
  • Experience in PMKeyS PD&T and completed required CAMPUS courses to gain PMKeyS PD&T access
  • A willingness to fulfil a part time role or multiple roles for additional hours if desired.

Must be an Australian Citizen and hold a Baseline security clearance or higher as per Department of Defence requirements.
