Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Executive Transport Services and Support (ET&S) team is seeking an Associate Engineering Technical Specialist to provide support for the Systems Integration Laboratory (SIL) located at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB), OK.  

The selected candidate will perform many roles associated with managing a Government Owned, Contractor Operated (GOCO) facility. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform as the on-site controlled area monitor and primary point of contact for Tinker AFB security forces: focal coordinates with security forces, communicates Force Protection Condition updates to employees, and performs routine facility alarm verifications.
  • Perform as the on-site safety representative and primary point of contact for Government and Boeing safety personnel: safety representative is responsible for coordinating Boeing and Tinker emergency preparedness drills and ensuring hazardous materials are stored, shipped, and disposed of in compliance with regulations. 
  • Perform as the on-site security representative: security representative is responsible for the implementation of recommended changes to facility security processes, maintaining required security documents and records, coordinating visit requests, documenting personnel access, and performing employee open/close training. 
  • Perform as the on-site property representative: property representative is responsible for tracking the location of Government and Boeing property, supporting property audits, updating property databases, and recommending changes to property processes.  
  • Perform as on-site Records and Information Management focal.
  • Escort facility service providers such as maintenance and custodial workers.
  • Submittal and tracking of facility work orders using government NexGenIT.
  • Submittal of purchase requests and orders of office supplies and lab equipment.  
  • Track material expenditures.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3 or more years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong interpersonal skills with demonstrated self-motivation and initiative.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities to include communicating with technical personnel from multiple skill areas and functions and clearly conveying information to individuals or groups.
  • Proficient experience with Microsoft Office Applications.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $66,300 - $89,700

Oklahoma Tax Credit:

If you have an engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Oklahoma and are not currently working in the aerospace sector in Oklahoma, you may qualify for a $5000 tax credit from the state of Oklahoma for up to five years.  Click here for more information on the tax credit.

This position must meet U.S. export control compliance requirements. To meet U.S. export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.62 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
