The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) E-7A Airborne Early Warning & Control (AEW&C) Program is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and inclusive Mission Systems Deputy Chief Engineer to lead the E-7A Mission Systems Engineering team in Oklahoma City, OK.

The Senior Engineering Manager for Foreign Military Sales (FMS) Programs is responsible for supporting technical execution, engineering leadership, and cross-functional coordination across Mission Systems activities on FMS efforts. This role serves as the delegated Chief Engineer authority for assigned FMS programs and maintains a direct technical and execution link to the E-7 Mission Systems Chief Engineer.

The Deputy CE will work closely with program leadership, engineering teams, and executive stakeholders to ensure Mission Systems' technical performance, issue resolution, and execution status are clearly understood and actively managed. This individual will be accountable for reporting status, driving execution, and elevating technical and programmatic risks to executive leadership on FMS programs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the delegated Chief Engineer authority for Mission Systems on assigned FMS programs

  • Maintain direct alignment and communication with the Mission Systems Chief Engineer

  • Lead the MS team in a way that builds a strong team culture centered on trust, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement, while supporting the growth and success of team members

  • Provide technical leadership and execution oversight for Mission Systems scope

  • Report Mission Systems status, issues, risks, and execution progress to executive leadership

  • Drive resolution of technical, schedule, and execution blockers across engineering and integrated program teams

  • Develop and present clear, actionable status on technical performance, risk posture, and recovery plans.

  • Support continuous improvement in engineering processes, execution rigor, and stakeholder communication.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).

Basic Qualifications (Required skills/experience)

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 10+ years of experience in engineering, systems engineering, technical leadership, or related field

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate clearly with executive leadership and program stakeholders

  • Experience driving technical execution and issue resolution across multiple functional teams

  • Demonstrated experience working on or supporting customer-facing programs with schedule, technical, and execution accountability.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Electrical Engineering background or degree

  • Experience with Mission Systems integration, execution, and technical oversight

  • Direct experience supporting Foreign Military Sales (FMS) programs.

  • Experience working with international customers, government stakeholders, and cross-functional leadership teams.

  • Experience working certification activities.

Summary pay range:

L Level Manager - $158,100 – $213,900
