The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Systems Integration Engineer - Secure Network & Protocols to join the OKC Training Systems Software team located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Global Services (BGS) Software Engineering organization.

As an Experienced Systems Integration Engineer you will focus on delivering solutions such as the Distributed-Operational Mission Simulator (D-OMS) training system to customers. This role will also lead our integration into the Distributed Mission Operations (DMO) and coordinate inter-federate testing with DMON test personnel and act as the primary technical liaison during integration events.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Represent the platform as a stakeholder in standards working groups and teleconferences; help discuss, influence, and vote on standards implementation decisions affecting Mission Package (MP) requirements

  • Develop, execute, and report system-level test plans and test results for certification of training systems on the DMON network

  • Coordinate inter-federate testing with DMON test personnel and external federates; act as the primary technical liaison during integration event

  • Read, interpret, and apply DMO and relevant IEEE standards to ensure system compliance and interoperability

  • Assists with the development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software systems.

  • Supports the design, development, architecture, and maintenance of software solutions for network stack protocol software.

  • Assists with providing input on secure network and protocols throughout the end-to-end lifecycle development of software products.

  • Maintains and updates code and integrates software components into a fully functional software system

  • Assists with test procedures and documenting test results to ensure software system requirements are met

  • Supports software project management and software supplier management functions

  • Performs software research and trade studies

  • Troubleshoots software issues

  • Integrate commercial and Boeing developed software into Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux operating systems

  • Scripting to support application of security settings on Windows and RedHat Enterprise Linux platforms

  • Implement and test software/systems using a variety of technologies to include scripting to support automated testing

  • Networking and support of Ethernet and Fiber Channel networks

  • Storage Area Network and Network Attached Storage administration

  • Works under general supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

  • 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, systems integration, software engineering, electrical engineering, certification, network security and/or cybersecurity

  • 5+ years of experience in software system integration and test

  • 5+ years of experience working under a Linux/Unix environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.

  • 2+ years of experience computing administration to include managing Microsoft active directory design, deploy and operational support

  • Experience with engineering of large-scale systems and overall systems engineering disciplines

  • 1+ years of experience with networking communications standards, IP Networking, and protocols (e.g. Transport Control Protocol/Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), File Transfer Protocol (FTP), Secure Transport Protocol (SCP))

  • 1+ years of experience in Object Oriented Design and Programming

  • Experience developing training/simulation systems.

  • Experience working with engineering and technical data for KC-46, E-3, E-7 or Commercial 767, 747, 737 or comparable commercial derivative aircraft platform.

  • Prior experience certifying training systems (e.g., E7 training systems) on operational DMON networks.

  • Experience writing and executing system-level test plans and test reports for DMO/federated systems, and logging/performing test results

  • Proven ability to plan and coordinate inter-federate testing with external DMON test teams and third-party federates

  • Ability to read, analyze, and apply technical standards and documents (for example: CAFDMO standards, IEEE DIS documentation, RPR FOM references)

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and tracking System Problem Reports (SPRs) across distributed networks and coordinating fixes

  • Practical knowledge of distributed simulation/federation technologies (examples: DIS, HLA or equivalent) Experience with agile workflow tools such as JIRA

  • A collaborative team player with a transformative mindset that takes the initiative, while driving quality and technical excellence

  • Demonstrated experience participating in standards working groups or standards bodies as a platform or stakeholder representative

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range Experienced Level: $109,650 - $148,350
