The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking an Industrial Engineer to join our team in Oklahoma City, OK.  This position applies industrial engineering concepts to improve processes and deliver lasting excellence for the lab test and test fabrication teams.

The Industrial Engineering role includes working with several Design and Manufacturing teams focused on the fabrication of equipment within Boeing Test & Evaluation. The selected candidate will help manage laboratory throughput while evaluating process performance metrics such as cost, quality, schedule, and productivity.

Our teams establish the baseline build plan, provide and support the tooling required to accomplish that build, and resolve all build conflicts that occur when building something as complex as an aircraft.

BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate or Experienced Industrial Engineers.

Position Responsibilities Include:

  • Applies industrial engineering concepts, approaches and techniques to product, process and services to meet program requirements

  • Develop equipment layouts, capacity plans, accident prevention measures, sequencing of operations and work flows

  • Evaluates new techniques and technological developments for integration into the production process and service operations

  • Designs, maintains, and optimizes the production system by integrating design, supply base, facilities, equipment, and personnel

  • Conducts work flow design and analysis

  • Develops models, databases and spreadsheets to analyze data and provides summary analysis and metrics for consultation to leaders and customers

  • Researches, designs, develop, improves, and implements processes and tools to enhance schedule performance, lower cost, and improve quality, for systems integration and asset utilization

  • Develops and implements plans and programs for facility modifications and revisions to operating methods

  • Prepares operations plans, includes work statement analysis, budgeting and forecasts, capacity and constraint analysis and production change, to ensure technical goals and objectives are met

  • Supports execution planning by using project management, planning and scheduling and shop load practices

  • Provides production, supply chain logistics, performance visibility and recovery planning support.

  • Ensure compliance with established industry safety, design standards and ergonomic guidelines

  • Must be able to work under minimal guidance

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science 

  • Experience in an Industrial Engineering role

  • Willing and able to travel domestically 10% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Level 3: 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Industrial Engineering

  • Experience in manufacturing or lab environment

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required) - (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active.)

Travel:

This position will include domestic travel up to 10% of the time for training or to support projects/program objectives.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range Associate: $67,150 - $90,850

Summary pay range Experienced Level: $80,750 - $109,250
