Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance & Bombers (MS&B) is seeking Mid-Level Design and Analysis Engineers in support of the Electrical Design & Integration (EDI) Wire Design and Electrical Systems within the Bombers division in Oklahoma City, OK.

In this exciting role supporting the Bombers division, you will play a pivotal part in turning complex electrical challenges into reliable, mission-ready solutions by defining and integrating cutting-edge electronic and electrical systems and subsystems. 

You will influence the full life cycle development through requirements definition, electrical architecture development, electrical design, and integration activities including design trade studies, design reviews, and supplier technical reviews as well as developing and maintaining processes, procedures, specifications, and test documentation.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Works with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Analyzes and translates requirements into system and hardware designs and interface specifications.
  • Tests and validates to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
  • Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
  • Researches specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.  This position is eligible for the OKC 9x80 alternate work schedule.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement.
  • 3+ years of experience in analyzing and translating requirements into system architecture, hardware design, or interface specifications.
  • Previous experience in the defense or aerospace industry.
  • Willing to travel up to 25% of the time as required.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of related work experience.
  • An ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or Engineering Technology) or a Master’s/PhD in Electrical Engineering.
  • Active U.S. Security Clearance.
  • Familiarity with software tools: Mentor Capital, DX Designer, or Expedition, AutoCAD, MathCAD, LTSpice, System Vision, PSPICE.
  • Previous experience in Circuit design, including some of the following:
    • Embedded processors
    • High end FPGAs, SOC FPGAs, state-of-the-art memory devices
    • Standard communications and storage protocols
    • Low power FPGAs, CPLDs
    • Power sequencing, monitoring, management
  • Previous experience with developing and coordinating supplier design requirements.
  • Previous experience with system and circuit level fault isolation.
  • Previous experience with box level and card level test planning and procedures.
  • Experience with MS Office tool suite.
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations (verbal and/or written) to key stakeholders.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $99,450 - $134,550

Oklahoma Tax Credit:

If you have an engineering degree from an ABET accredited college or university in Oklahoma and are not currently working in the aerospace sector in Oklahoma, you may qualify for a $5000 tax credit from the state of Oklahoma for up to five years.  Click here for more information on the tax credit.
