The Boeing Company has two exciting opportunities for Senior Project Management Specialists (Level 4 or 5) lead supporting the Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) portfolio located in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.  One role will serve as a lead for integration of key projects necessary to support an active aircraft modification for the Royal Saudi Air Force (RSAF) at Tinker Air Force Base (AFB). The RSAF AWACS Modernization Program (RAMP) provides critical capabilities via a Foreign Military Sale (FMS) contract. The second role will serve as lead for the Air Vehicle (AV) Integrated Product Team (IPT).  The AV IPT provides delivery of all airframe, electrical and sub-system products to all the AWACS programs and is responsible for driving cost and schedule execution across the engineering disciplines. 

Significant experience in program/project management or project engineering is required. The roles will be heavily engaged in aircraft operations and flight test planning activity as well as supporting fundamental Program Integration baseline management duties.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develops overall project plans consistent with project objectives as defined by the project owner and key stakeholders in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards).
  • Lead teams to accomplish projects from inception through completion by managing cost, schedule and technical baselines and utilization of EVMS.
  • Identifies risk and opportunity potential, develops mitigation and/or capture planning.
  • Develops and maintains positive working relationships with external stakeholders and customers
  • Works to improve project management processes and business systems that support project decision makers.
  • Present critical program information to senior leadership and customers.
  • Facilitates key customer meetings and events.
  • Manage proposals from RFP through submission in coordination with contracts, estimating, engineering and other key stakeholders.
  • Highly organized, process oriented
  • Integrate, analyze, and succinctly summarize data and present recommendations to decision makers.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim U.S. Secret Clearance Pre-Start and final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Strong communication, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Experience developing presentations for and presenting to executive leadership
  • Experience working with the planning & scheduling processes, cost analysis, and EVMS

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 7+ years of project management experience with demonstrated ability to navigate and self-manage complex, dynamic projects
  • 5+ years of experience in working with EVMS, IP&S, Finance, and Contracts functions
  • EVM Certified / CAM Certified/Trained
  • 2+ years of proposal management   
  • 5+ years of experience with RIO (Risks, Issues and Opportunities) processes and tools
  • 7+ years of experience with Program Management Best Practices
  • 5+ years of experience with Enterprise Standard Gated Process
  • Level 4 & 5: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience

This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.

Travel: 10% travel may be required

Summary pay range:

Level 4 -  $100,300 -  $135,700

Level 5 -  $123,250 - $166,750
