Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers (MS&B) is seeking a Senior Structures Engineering Manager to be located in Oklahoma City, OK, Everett, WA or Tukwila, WA. 

As a Senior Structures Engineering manager, you will have the responsibility of providing structures functional leadership across the Mobility Surveillance and Bombers. This candidate will be responsible for the Safety and Airworthiness Management across structures and ensuring standardization of tools, processes and workforce across the capability. The successful candidate will help drive technical execution on development, production and sustainment programs across the division. The portfolio of programs includes Military Commercial Derivatives (KC-46, P-8, VC-25A/B, E-4B, C-32/40, E-3, E7), International Head of State Programs and Bombers (B-1, B-52, B-2). This is an exciting opportunity to lead a highly skilled structures team across a diverse portfolio.

Position Responsibility Includes

  • Structures Safety and Airworthiness (SAW) Manager
  • Systems Stress & Certification responsibility for structures
  • Workforce actions, including but not limited to:
    • Leading hiring efforts for the capability
    • Developing talent pipelines
    • Skills assessments
    • Closing skill gaps through intentional planning
    • Training plans
    • Coordinating loan in and purchased services support
  • Leading Technical Design Reviews (TDRs)
  • Supporting Enterprise Standard Gate Reviews
  • Supporting Flight Test Mission Assurance Reviews
  • Supporting Non-Advocate Reviews
  • Manage and Monitor Key Performance Indicators for the Capability
  • Develop e-UMits, DAEs, BDEs, TLEs, and Fellowship
  • Perform DAE audits
  • Support OAW TRBs

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations.

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Post Start is required. 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science Degree from an accredited course of study in a technical field
  • 10+ years of engineering experience
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of Mech / Struct Experience
  • FAA, EASA and/or Mil-Cert Experience
  • Common Non Recurring Product Development Experience
  • Model Based Definition and Full Size Determinant Assy Experience

This is a 1st shift position.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $153,000 – 239,200
