BGS is a rapidly growing segment of the Boeing Company, and the C-17 Program represents a key element within it. The C-17 Program includes design and sustaining engineering in multiple engineering disciplines. BGS is seeking a Test Program Set Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. This position will perform Test Program software development, integration, qualification, and investigation of fielded software anomalies.

In this role, the candidate will perform activities related to the development and integration of test program hardware and software products, investigating failing test systems, investigations into field issues, and general support leading to a healthy C-17 fleet maintenance posture.

A successful candidate in this position will have experience with electrical hardware, basics of electro-mechanical design, software development and general multi-discipline troubleshooting experience. The candidate must also be an excellent communicator, exhibiting ease with interfacing and working directly with customers and C-17 Maintenance personnel as well as Boeing Engineering and leadership. The candidate must be able to demonstrate general leadership skills. Test Program Set development experience is required, and experience with automated test equipment and avionic bus protocols are considered pluses.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mid-Level or Senior Test Program Set Engineers.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Test Program development in Lab Windows CVI environment
  • Test Program and Automated Test Equipment integration
  • Field issue investigation and resolution
  • Test Program Set (TPS) qualification and audit
  • TPS documentation development
  • Development of metrics generation and explanation
  • Internal and external Customer interaction

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus in Electrical, Mechanical or Aeronautical), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement)
  • 5+ years’ experience in hardware and software integration testing
  • Experience developing and debugging software using high level programming languages (C, C++)
  • Experience with developing project and software development documentation

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 9+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Demonstrated Team Lead AND project ownership experience
  • Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) experience
  • Avionics bus protocol familiarity (Mil-Std-1553, ARINC 429, RS-422)

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range Mid-Level (Level 3): $104,550 - $141,450

Summary pay range Senior (Level 4): $127,500 - $172,500
