Boeing Fabrication South Carolina is seeking a Mid-Level Supply Chain Management Analyst (Level 3) focused on hazardous materials to join our Fulfillment Team located in Orangeburg, South Carolina. Our Orangeburg plant manufactures floor grids for the 787 Dreamliner as well as metallic engine lip skins for the 777X and 737 MAX. We are hiring for 1st shift.

This onsite role directly supports production and involves supplier management, as well as HazTrax, tool crib, and process standards. You will be responsible for handling the ordering and managing of chemicals for three programs and two buildings. This involves a large volume of chemicals including corrosives, nitrates, acids, etc.

Ability to travel domestically up to 10% may be needed. This is a hands-on position that will require frequent walking, lifting, bending, and physical work.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates and collaborate with company customer support representatives, contract administration, purchasing, engineering, quality assurance, traffic, warehousing, EHS, suppliers and production to support manufacturing operations

  • identifies, handles, and disposes of hazardous materials safely and effectively

  • Works with Production, Industrial Engineering, and others to prepare for production rate changes

  • Incorporates Bills of Material (BOM) and schedules into the production plan; coordinates attributes

  • Verifies released engineering BOM has been correctly implemented in the material planning system

  • Develops and controls inventory plans

  • Releases and maintains orders; documents and resolves order delinquencies; reports schedule adherence issues

  • Initiates, coordinates and authorizes release of orders by evaluating system requirements and resource availability

  • Ensures on-time delivery; optimizes inventory levels; creates schedules for products

  • Analyzes and dispositions excess inventories; initiates audits

  • Coordinates & supports process improvements

  • Develops and implements new ordering methodologies as needed

  • Ensures organizational compliance with inventory management policies, contractual requirements and governmental regulations

  • Possesses mindset of safety and quality

  • Performs work with minimal supervision

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 10+ years of experience working with hazardous materials

  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain and/or materials management analysis

  • 5+ years of experience collecting and analyzing data from multiple sources, as well as interpreting data & presenting analysis/recommendations to management

  • Ability to lift, push and pull up to 35 pounds on a regular basis

  • Ability to walk, stand, climb, and descend stairs; bend and lift items; package materials and unload materials from containers frequently throughout the shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, occupational health/safety, or a related field

  • Extensive knowledge of Hazmat requirements and handling hazardous materials, reorder points, labeling, decanting and distributing

  • Understanding of federal and state hazardous materials regulations

  • Ability to learn new software quickly

  • Effective communication, training, and multi-tasking skills; attention to detail; ability to prioritize critical tasks

  • Decision making skills and the ability to stay calm in emergency situations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary pay range: $81,000 - $99,000
