Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking an Avionics Integration Specialist as part of our Canadian Chinook Medium-to-Heavy Lift Helicopter Program (MHLH) Engineering/Integrated Logistic team reporting to the MHLH Technical Integration Manager working out of the Ottawa, Ontario office.

The Avionics Integration Specialist will coordinate/support all aircraft avionics/mission systems hardware and software configuration changes for MHLH fleet of aircraft.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary MHLH program integrator to manage/track all CH147 Chinook Helicopter avionics/mission systems hardware and software configuration changes.

  • Provides technical, business and integration leadership to support execution of MHLH avionics/mission systems and mission planning configuration changes.  

  • Coordinate/track all customer avionics/mission systems problem reports & support technical problem investigations, options analysis requests and customer meetings.

  • Coordinate scheduling of MHLH Software Integration Lab (SIL) to support software testing requirements and MHLH In-Service Support requirements. 

  • Support development, planning and scheduling of SIL maintenance and related life cycle management requirements. 

  • Possess strong leadership, team building and communication skills integrating with MHLH Engineering/Integrated Logistics teams and with all stakeholders/cross functional teams.

  • Utilize technical writing skills to develop and maintain engineering/airworthiness documentation and quality processes that support MHLH software configuration management.  

  • Be able to perform assigned work with minimal direction and supervision.  Actively participate in determining objectives of assignment; project plans, schedules, and independently arrange activities to accomplish those objectives.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years’ experience in Flying Operations or related Engineering, Avionics/Mission Systems discipline.

  • Post-Secondary education or equivalent work experience.

  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint).

  • Must be able to legally work in Canada.

  • Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data.

  • Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment.

  • Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 10 + years of military aviation experience in Flying Operations or Aerospace Engineering or Equivalent Avionics/Mission Systems experience.

  • Aircraft Avionics Hardware/Software configuration management experience.

  • Rotary Wing experience.

  • Knowledge of the Royal Canadian Air Force Technical Airworthiness Policy.

  • Metrics Development Experience.

  • Active Secret II Clearance.

Additional Information:

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada.  Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.

Starting salary will be based on year of post-secondary education completed, qualifications and experience.

Salary pay range - $105,000.00 - $188,000.00 CAD

This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government. Requirements to obtain a secret security clearance can be found at:
