Position Overview:

Boeing Defense India delivers advanced capability and readiness to India’s military customers through Sustainment Programs for platforms such as AH-64, CH-47, P-8I and C-17 aircraft. Boeing India Defense Private Limited (BIDPL) is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist to help lead the execution of the India Chinook sustainment program. The successful candidate will report to the India Chinook Sustainment Program Manager and will help plan and maintain integrated schedules, conduct analyses and risk assessments, manage change, coordinate cross-functional teams, and ensure projects are executed to scope, schedule, quality and budget. This role will engage stakeholders at all levels, recommend best practices, and drive deployment of proven solutions across divisions and the enterprise.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Project Manage for Chinook Sustainment leads, coordinates, develops and integrates all phases of assigned cross-organizational, cross-functional or business unit projects
  • Develop, maintain, and integrate project and program plans across functional areas from initiation through post-completion
  • Prepare, analyze, assign and coordinate project plans, schedules, reports and metrics; monitor progress and update plans regularly throughout the lifecycle
  • Perform and lead studies and analyses (trend, variance, impact) to assess risks, constraints, and impacts on product development, production rates, process improvements and program initiatives
  • Develop and execute mitigation and recovery plans; work with customers and stakeholders to transition projects to ongoing support
  • Manage change control processes; communicate decisions, best practices and baseline changes to stakeholders
  • Serve as primary project contact and liaison between cross-functional teams; obtain stakeholder approvals to commit resources
  • Direct development and implementation of integrated planning, scheduling, change management and baseline processes and tools; recommend best practices aligned with industry standards
  • Conduct project closeout activities, document lessons learned and ensure knowledge transfer
  • Oversee deployment of approved recommendations across Division, Business Unit, and/or Enterprise levels
  • Ensure project activities adhere to accepted project management industry standards, tools and reporting practices
  • Consults with executive leadership and integrates organizational strategy and company initiatives to develop project deliverables

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of relevant project/program planning and execution experience
  • Experience developing and delivering presentations to senior leaders
  • Proven experience leading complex, cross-functional projects and programs, including integrated planning and schedule management
  • Strong analytical skills with experience performing trend, variance and impact analyses and risk assessments
  • Demonstrated ability to develop recovery plans and guide projects through constraints to successful outcomes
  • Experience with change management processes and stakeholder communications
  • Excellent collaboration and relationship-building skills across teams and organizational levels
  • Strong business acumen and strategic decision-making ability
  • Proficiency with program and project management tools and techniques; familiarity with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and PMBOK concepts (critical path, theory of constraints, scope management, risk management, lifecycle management)
  • 5+ years’ experience supporting projects or programs utilizing financial and performance metrics and Risk, Issues and Opportunity (RIO) management to drive program performance
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills; ability to present findings and influence senior stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Experience working sustainment, development and/or production contracts
  • Experience working in aerospace, defense, or other highly regulated industries
  • Experience working modification complex sustainment programs
  • Experience deploying planning and scheduling processes at scale (Division, Business Unit or Enterprise)
  • Familiarity with corporate processes, policies and product lifecycle in large organizations
  • Certifications such as PMP, PgMP or equivalent

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. 

Summary Pay Range: 156,400 – 211,600
