We are excited to offer multiple trade Apprenticeship Program opportunities to advance careers at Boeing.

  • Assembly Tradesperson
  • Spray Painter

This four (4) year apprenticeship will see you joining a company that employs the best talent to develop and deliver world class capabilities for some of the most advanced manufacturing systems available. You will receive mentoring, support and the opportunity to learn a wealth of new skills along with earning an attractive remuneration package.

On completion of your apprenticeship, you will receive an Australian recognized trade qualification that will enable you to be well on your way to a rewarding career within the Aviation industry and work in your designated trade!

Responsibilities for each program includes:

Assembly Tradesperson Apprentice - you will gain experience and be mentored in;

  • Assembly and installation of aircraft components
  • Preparation and use of aircraft support equipment
  • Following digital work instructions and detailed drawings
  • Using a variety of hand and power tools, sealants and chemicals
  • Inspection, maintenance, servicing, repair and fault diagnosis of components and systems


Spray Painter Apprentice - you will gain experience and be mentored in;

  • Prepare and paint aircraft parts following quality, safety, and process specifications using hand and pneumatic tools
  • Following quality instructions and detailed drawings through various computer systems
  • Operate and monitor spray booths, ovens, and mixing processes in a production environment
  • Maintain housekeeping, comply with health, safety, and environmental standards, and support continuous improvement initiatives


In addition, you will be required to attend training with a Registered Training Organisation.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

We are looking for highly motivated individuals that have the desire and passion to commit to a 4 year learning program.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • An interest and willingness to learn about mechanics, tools and different machinery
  • Comfortable and confident working with your hands and standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to collaborate and support in a diverse, team-oriented environment
  • Able to speak, read and write fluent English
  • Basic computer skills
  • Commitment to complete your trade qualification
  • Flexibility with working hours and location (for classroom learning)
  • A keen interest in Aviation or Aerospace with the drive to build a successful career in your trade

Additional Information:

If you currently hold a recognised Trade Certificate or Tertiary Qualification, this apprenticeship consists of a nominal four-year work / training period and may not be suitable for all.

This is an Enterprise Agreement classified role and the successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 3 month probationary period.
