We are seeking a Contracts Management Specialist based in Port Melbourne in a full-time, permanent capacity. This role is based 100% onsite. Reporting to the Senior Finance Leader you will be working collaboratively to ensure that all contracts are managed effectively and any changes are communicated across the business.

The role will have a procedural focus with involvement in business impact assessments.  Key to your success in this role will be your ability to manage contracts, competing priorities, to quickly build knowledge of Boeing policies and procedures and develop key relationships across the global organisation.

About the role

  • Exercises appropriate signature authority in negotiating and contracting for the sale and support of aerospace products, services, and technologies to support company strategies
  • Contract negotiation of business terms & conditions and requirements in a team environment with engagement of other subject matter experts within the business
  • Management of our General Terms Agreement, Special Business Provisions and Administrative Agreements
  • Accurate and timely development of proposals and business terms
  • Represents the company in external negotiations to a diverse set of customers
  • Authority to prepare, negotiate, execute, interpret and administer legally binding contractual agreements of a complex nature for The Boeing Company
  • Summarises complex contractual issues, and leads development of creative solutions and coordination of contractual risk mitigation
  • Continuous improvement; updating, simplification and alignment of procedures applicable to contracts and business operations
  • Provide contractual advice to the business and leadership team
  • Monitor and report enterprise performance metrics
  • Ensure compliance to government and customer policies and regulations

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

The successful candidate will be highly motivated, flexible, driven and be expected to demonstrate the following skills, experience and qualifications:

  • Tertiary level or equivalent qualifications in law, contracts, procurement, logistics, engineering, business management or other related discipline
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills
  • Typically 5+ years proven experience in Contract Administration, Contract Management, Legal, Procurement or Business Management
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including demonstrated experience of customer/supplier interaction. As well as the ability to liaise with colleagues of all levels
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy is essential, as well as strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • The ability to perform with minimal direction to support diverse and urgent customer needs
  • Ability to work with urgency and deliver to commitments whilst being able to work in challenging conditions
  • Experience within a complex manufacturing environment or global enterprise, highly regarded
  • Due to security clearances required for this role, you must be an Australian Citizen to apply for this role

Additional Information:

This is a non-EBA IJC 5A8613 and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 6-month probationary period.
