We are currently seeking a Procurement Agent to grow and develop their career in our Supply Chain team located in Port Melbourne a full time permanent basis. This position is based 100% onsite. This role would suit a recent graduate.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute category strategies including negotiation and contracting plans
  • Support procurement activities and contractual negotiations that directly impact our financial success
  • Liaise and integrate with stakeholders including finance, prepare required reporting and analysis to deliver the expected outcomes
  • Source and select suppliers to our business and preparing and executing short term and long term contracts
  • Develop strategic solutions and implement continuous improvement opportunities
  • Communicate with internal and external customers and suppliers to resolve contractual issues

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):

  • A bachelors degree in supply chain and logistics or similar
  • Previous experience in Procurement / Supply Chain would be advantageous
  • Effective problem solving, negotiation and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Project management, time management, and organisation skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Suite
  • Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia

Additional Information:
This is a Non EBA IJC position classified as a HAACI1 and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 6-month probationary period.
