Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking a Tool Coordinator to join the Tooling Services Team located in Puyallup, WA.

A successful candidate assesses manufacturing requirements and verifies customer requests. Coordinates with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues. Works with contract administrators to develop and maintain procurement specifications and standards. Provides guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts. Participates in the analysis and research of new technology to provide state of the art cost-effective products. Gathers manufacturing and product information to develop and recommend solutions to manufacturing requirements. Investigates changes in manufacturing requirements and support emergent requests. Analyzes, procures and oversees procurement processes for manufacturing tool services products and services. Explores all possible options to resolve potential impacts to budget and manufacturing schedules. Supports the evaluation of outside supplier performance and verification of compliance with procedures and contract specifications. Participates in the development and management of overhead and capital budgets for the acquisition and inventory of tool services products. Reviews on-hand inventory and coordinates re-distribution. Participates in the plans for the removal of obsolete inventory. Works under limited supervision.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and procure all non-production and non-flyaway tools and equipment to support manufacturing.

  • Manage certified tools and tool-room processes, including ordering, replacement, inventory control, and re-certification.

  • Liaise with customers and suppliers to optimize manufacturing support and supply chain responsiveness.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience Assessing manufacturing requirements and verifying customer requests

  • 2-3 years experience coordinating with support organizations to resolve manufacturing issues

  • 2-3 years Providing guidance and improvement suggestions to outside suppliers and other analysts

  • 2-3 years Gathering manufacturing and product data to develop and recommend solutions for requirements

  • 2-3 years Analyzing, procuring, and overseeing procurement processes for manufacturing tools, services, and products

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficient in Ariba, ERF, and CribMaster systems for procurement and inventory management.

  • Experienced in certified-tool management and tool-room operations, including inventory control and recertification.

  • Collaborative problem-solver with a track record of partnering with Manufacturing, Operations, and suppliers to resolve issues.

  • In locations where SPEEA representation applies, this job family will be covered by the terms of the collective bargaining agreement. Applicable and appropriateeducational/certificationcredentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

Summary Pay Range: $82,000 -$88,000
