Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Experienced orSenior Supplier Quality Specialist (Level 3 or 4) to support the Supplier Quality Regional Operation team based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Boeing Commercial Airplanes Supplier Quality has an exciting opportunity for a Supplier Quality Representative. The BCA Supplier Quality organization is responsible for oversight of its suppliers’ Quality Management Systems, evaluating product quality improvement plans and driving cross functional joint efforts in the right direction. Our role is based on our QMS and our contracts with our suppliers, to ensure that all products meet Boeing’s type designs and arrive to its factories in proper compliance.

Position Responsibilities:   

  • Plans and conducts audits and assessments of supplier's systems, processes and products
  • Documents and reports audit and assessment results
  • Inspects or verifies products for compliance with requirements
  • Assists with assessments of supplier capability and capacity to perform current or potential future work
  • Provides supplier education and coaching on quality systems, regulatory compliance issues and company initiatives
  • Resolves routine issues and concerns
  • Assists with and drives root cause investigations and effective corrective actions to supplier
  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform work onsite at supplier facility, Boeing facility or home office. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.  

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 3+ years' experience of conducting/leading Quality Management Systems (QMS) Audits
  • 3+ years’ experience of conducting Quality investigations, Root Cause analysis and implementation and verification of Corrective Actions in production environments
  • Able to travel up to 75% of the time

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in MS Office tool suite and project management software tools
  • 5+ years’ experience using analytical, collaboration, communication and organizational skills
  • 3+ years’ experience with project leadership leading cross-functional teams
  • Working knowledge of various quality tools and processes such as FMEA, control plans, SPC and MSA
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 and AS9145
  • Experience with the application of improvement methodologies such as (Lean, Theory of Constraints and/or Six Sigma) to achieve measurable results
  • Experience with application with root cause and corrective action methodologies (BPSM, 8D, etc.)
  • Experience with Buyer Furnished Equipment (BFE) and Seat commodities

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range Experienced (Level 3): $88,400 - $119,600

Summary pay range Senior (Level 4): $102,800 - $138,800
