The Boeing Company is looking for an Airplane Level Integration Engineer (Associate or Mid-Level) to join our Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) P-8 team in Renton, Washington, to support production stability efforts.

We are looking for self-starting engineers with expertise in Airplane Systems who are interested in seeking, leading, and tackling production improvement initiatives.  You will support critical items such as troubleshooting efforts, particularly for airplane systems, and interfacing with the factory to support delivery efforts, integrate across multiple disciplines, and promote a healthy working environment between the engineering teams and the manufacturing teams, while focusing on the program’s priorities for improvement.

In this role you will be expected to lead projects that directly impact the program and improve our delivery tact time, while maintaining a high level of commitment to quality.  This is a production facing role and will require working knowledge of Airplane Systems such as Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic systems.  Domain knowledge in other airplane functions is also desired.

Position Responsibilities: 

  • Provide technical solutions, project oversight and guidance to production stability improvement initiatives
  • Team with support organizations to resolve issues and identify countermeasures
  • Work directly with our manufacturing customers and engineering teams to solve system integration issues
  • Collaborate with customers and leadership teams to obtain approvals for engineering activity and path forward
  • Lead projects and execution of implementations, measure our improvement and impact to production
  • Resolve emergent production and supplier issues, evaluate airplane level impact and identify a path forward
  • Identify plans for risk mitigation and opportunity

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):             

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 2+ years of experience troubleshooting technical system issues
  • 2+ years of experience in one or more of the following engineering fields: (airplane systems, aerodynamics, structures, propulsion, systems engineering, certification, or safety)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience with the P-8 program
  • 5+ years of experience working directly with suppliers or supplier management
  • 3+ years of experience leading teams

Relocation:
This position does not offer relocation.  Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary Pay Range for Associate (Level 2): $79,050 - $106,950

Summary Pay Range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $96,050 - $129,950
