Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking highly motivated, lean-focused, and passionate problem solvers to join our team as Lean Practitioners supporting the 737 program in Renton, WA.

Our teams are currently hiring for a broad range of experience including Associate and Experienced Level Lean Practitioners.

In this role, you will drive continuous improvement and operational excellence by implementing lean initiatives that eliminate waste, enhance quality, and reduce process flow times. Your work will directly contribute to achieving production rate increases while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities (Level 2 and 3):

  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and systematic problem-solving

  • Support or lead continuous improvement workshops

  • Manage or support lean activities including project management, data collection, information gathering, and reporting

  • Understand and apply Boeing Production System (BPS) standards, to all aspects of the business

  • Assist with instruction in improvement tools, principles, and basic Lean modules

  • Actively work on personal development to advance Lean skills

Level 2 Specific Responsibilities:

  • Apply systematic problem-solving techniques and assist experienced Lean Practitioners and teams.

  • Support or co-facilitate Lean workshops and systematic problem solving.

  • Assist with project management tasks such as data collection and reporting.

  • Work under guidance and direction, taking initiative within assigned scope.

Level 3 Specific Responsibilities:

  • Coach, lead, and collaborate with manufacturing teams, functional support, and management—up to the senior leader level—on problem-solving activities.

  • Lead or facilitate Lean workshops such as Accelerated Improvement Workshops (AIW), Value Stream Mapping (VSM), 3P, Autonomous Maintenance Workshops (AMW), and Boeing Problem Solving Model (BPSM).

  • Lead project management activities and drive lean process improvement projects.

  • Apply and teach BPS standards to others.

  • Demonstrate influence across cross-functional teams.

  • Maintain a personal development plan to grow lean skills.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years applying Lean principles, processes, and tools.

  • 3+ years working with cross-functional teams.

  • Ability to take initiative within work assignments and scope.

  • Familiarity with Boeing Production System or other Quality Management Systems (BPS).

  • Minimum of 1 year Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience preferred.

  • Experience coaching team members and leaders in an operations environment.

  • Developing communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Project management experience.

  • Must be willing to work any shift as assigned for specific workshops or projects.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

  • Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • 3+ years Aerospace, Fabrication, or Manufacturing experience preferred

  • Extensive knowledge of Boeing Production System (BPS) or other Quality Management Systems   with ability to teach and apply standards.

Typical Education / Experience

  • Level 2: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Level 3: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.  Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range Level 2: $79,900 - $108,100

Summary pay range Level 3: $95,200 - $128,800
