Boeing Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) is currently seeking an Information Technology Manager to join the Product Support Vertical Lift & PBL Information Technology team in Ridley Park, PA.

This opportunity is to oversee software development supply chain integration environments within Boeing Global Services (BGS) Government Programs, which provides application integration services between the standard systems and tools with external customers and suppliers. You will be leading a team working directly with multi-billion-dollar programs to develop custom IT solutions to support the fast-paced business of Performance Based Services.

This leader will manage the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software requirements for Boeing Defense Space and Security platforms & Boeing Global Services military sustainment contracts. The successful candidate will have demonstrated knowledge of the full range of IT technology, development, service delivery, and sufficient business and operations knowledge to make independent decisions adding value to the business. Requires strong skills in communication, planning, organizing and resource/budget management to work effectively across all organizations and management levels to achieve success. 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manage staff to include recruiting, training, performance and compensation management, motivating, developing, and ensuring high performance and engagement

  • Establish partnerships and relationships with internal customers, stakeholders, peers and direct reports

  • Develop and execute program and process plans, adhering to software quality and compliance requirements

  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes

  • Forecast resource needs and make hiring decisions

  • Interact with senior management and business partners in support of business and technical capability roadmaps

  • Provide technical direction and guidance

  • Ensure technical training is provided when and as needed

  • Monitor quality, identify root causes of quality problems, and develop methods for quality improvement

  • Recognize contributions of individuals and teams and provide recognition

  • Administer time and attendance functions including correct job number usage

  • Prepare production and department activity reports as necessary, and achieve established goals

Boeing First-Line Leader Assessment: To be considered for this position you will be required to complete an assessment as part of the selection process.  Failure to complete the assessment will remove you from consideration.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”

  • 10+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership

  • 5+ years of experience in application development within a technology focused team

  • 3+ years experience with Earned Value Management (Scheduling, Budgeting, Cost Analysis)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher

  • Experience in people management activities

  • Experience with customer interfacing responsibilities including understanding business requirements, laying out product solutions and roadmaps and handling critical issue resolutions

  • Experience leading or implementing strategic initiatives

Summary Pay Range: $150,450 – $203,550
