Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Mechanical Design Engineer(Associate and Mid-Level) to join our Support Equipment organization located in Ridley Park, PA.  

This position is responsible for design and development of peculiar support equipment across multiple vertical lift platforms.   

Position Responsibilities:

  • Create, update, and maintain accurate 3D models, technical drawings, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) to support the efficient design and manufacture of Ground Support Equipment (GSE)
  • Performs and documents analyses to validate and verify systems and components meet requirements and specifications.
  • Collaborate with Aircraft Engineering, Logistics, Tech Pubs, Procurement and both Civilian & Military Customers to develop new design concepts and implement changes to existing designs
  • Generate and process Engineering Change Requests (CRs) for releasing new designs or modifying existing ones.
  • Provide supplier support for fabrication of GSE.
  • Serve as a technical interface to customers and suppliers.
  • Create Test Plans, Perform Testing and generate Test Reports.
  • Visit suppliers and customers when necessary to support procurement, development and testing
  • Support field service activities when required.
  • Trains others.
  • Works under general direction.
  • This position is expected to be 100% onsite at the Ridley Park, PA location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
  • 2+ years of engineering experience.
  • Experience using CATIA designing Detail Parts and Assemblies.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
  • Experience with the use of Support Equipment and/or Tooling.
  • Practical, hands-on maintenance experience and aptitude.
  • Ability to independently perform engineering requirements tasks within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Working knowledge of GD&T and ASME Y14.5 drafting standards.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Associate-Level Summary Pay Range: $81,600 – $110,400

Mid-Level Summary Pay Range: $102,000 – $138,000
