Boeing BT&E is currently seeking a Metrology - Operational Support Inspector to support our facility in Ridley Park, PA.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Perform measurement and/or calibration on precision Measurement and Test Equipment, including electrical / electronic, force, thermometry, pressure, humidity, dimensional, optical mass and torque

  • Develop calibration methods and techniques based on principles of measurement science including an understanding of measurement uncertainty, technical analysis of measurement problems, and accuracy / precision requirements

  • Appropriately substitute standards or measuring equipment when required, and demonstrate the ability to maintain traceability to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)

  • Use established physical, mechanical or scientific principles to analyze and resolve laboratory or test related problems and anomalies in individual instruments and Automated Test Equipment

  • Identify possible solutions, select and implement resolutions that are practical and effective

  • Perform complex problem solving that cannot be solved solely by referencing manuals and documents

  • Utilize advanced trouble shooting skills beyond established fault isolation procedures

  • Create and maintain compliant, auditable Metrology Quality records

  • Collaborate multi-functionally as required for development of solutions, including with all levels of Enterprise Metrology, Engineering, MR&D, Quality, Tooling, Production

  • Perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by manager

  • Coordinate daily tasks with others to align priorities for smooth operation of joint workloads

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required):

  • 3 or more years of experience working in a Metrology Lab

  • 3 or more years of experience working with electrical parameters

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of experience reading engineering blueprints/drawings

  • 3 or more years of experience in PMEL (Precision Measurement Equipment Laboratory)

  • Certified Calibration Technician (CCT)

This position is 1st Shift

Pay & Benefits:

Summary Pay Range: $41.45/hour - $54.90/hour
