Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer (Senior or Lead) to join our team located in Ridley Park, PA!

This position requires a Bachelor of Science from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry

Position Responsibilities:

Level 4

  • Leads integration of contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements into all aspects of proposals and program processes and documentation.
  • Provides interpretation of complex requirements.
  • Develops quality metrics, design and production certification plans for large programs to ensure compliance with contractual, Company and regulatory requirements.
  • Develops Quality criteria to support supplier selection activities.
  • Leads various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs.
  • Develops and selects methods for analysis, testing and audit to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Assists in development of new standards repairs for non-conformances.
  • Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
  • Develops and implements corrective actions.
  • Performs bench-marking and other forms of advanced analysis to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved. Works under minimal direction.

Level 5

  • Advises others in the preparation of significant bids and proposals.
  • Authors Quality plans for major programs.
  • Advises suppliers and business partners in the development of their Quality plans to ensure the flow down of requirements.
  • Consults at the business unit level to develop Quality criteria for supplier selection.
  • Oversee the development of methods, procedures and metrics to ensure quality standards and practices for large programs and derivatives.
  • Leads verification reviews to ensure adequate surveillance to validate product and process Quality requirements.
  • Develops new methods for conducting product and process validation.
  • Represents Quality in design reviews of the inter-relationship of multiple systems.
  • Advises on development of methods for testing and approval of products, processes, equipment and measurement systems to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
  • Performs bench-marking of enterprise best practices. Leads cross-functional continuous Quality improvement efforts.
  • Develop new applications for advanced statistical methods.
  • Works under consultative direction.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • 5+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
  • 5+ years of experience with quality Inspection and/or auditing
  • 5+ years of experience with root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA) methods

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ year experience in aerospace, fabrication, or manufacturing environment
  • 3+ year of experience performing quantitative or statistical analysis, data collection, preparation and interpretation

Conflict of Interest:

Travel:

This position may require up to 10% travel.

Summary pay range: USD Level 4 (Senior) $130,900 - $177,100

                                           Level 5 (Lead) $159,800 - $216,200
