Boeing Poland is hiring Associate Manufacturing Engineers to join our Production Engineering Team to support the Boeing Defense and Space (BDS) division in Rzeszow, Poland.

Successful candidate will recognize the importance of cross-functional collaboration, technical problem-solving and whom have a passion for demonstrating supporting actions daily. The engineer will work with team supporting, leading and representing the build of the Boeing military platforms and products.

Up to 6-months assignment in US for familiarization and on-the-job training in assembly/production shop floor may be optionally offered to the candidate, depending on the program (TBD after project onboarding).

Responsibilities:

  • Develops, implements, modifies and maintains manufacturing plans, Bill of Materials, work instructions, tooling methodologies and illustrations

  • Create manufacturing strategies aligned with business goals

  • Conducts producibility and variation analyses to ensure that manufacturing process capability matches requirements.

  • Analyzes design/build concepts to evaluate producibility of design/build definitions

  • Participates on Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to integrate technical solutions across multiple disciplines.

  • Integrate suppliers, processes, materials, and technology to meet production needs

  • Resolves technical problems of significant impact to performance, cost or schedule

  • Define tooling requirements and resolve manufacturing issues

  • Manage engineering changes and update production processes

  • Support Lean principles

  • Supports other team members as mentor/checker to meet engineering commitments.

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Export Control Requirements: This is an export control position. Meaning:

1) Position may be export controlled

2) Government authorization may be required

3) Employment contingent upon meeting trade control requirements 

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 3+ years of total professional experience in related scope of work – manufacturing, production, assembly processes and / or their support

  • Broad knowledge and practical experience in engineering documentation, reading and understanding engineering drawings, instructions, blueprints, schematics, and specifications (knowledge of ASME Y14 series standards is required)

  • Knowledge of manufacturing, methods, fabrication processes (e.g., forming, stamping, machining, heat treatment, machines/machine tools, cutting tools and fluids, N/C programming, instrumentation, data acquisition and control systems)

  • Experience with creating and modifying part lists (BOM) and production plans

  • Familiar with 3D modeling software (e.g. Catia/NX/Inventor) and PLM (eg. Enovia, Teamcenter)

  • Upper Intermediate English level

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Knowledge and experience of aerospace products development lifecycle, build plan artifacts, and Lean production system principles

  • Experience in supporting the development of the engineering technical data packages needed to produce aircraft parts and components

  • The ability to adapt and thrive in a demanding, fast-paced production environment, while effectively collaborating with cross-functional teams, demonstrating strong communication skills, and exhibiting proactive and creative problem-solving abilities

  • Knowledge of design concepts and techniques (e.g., Concurrent Engineering, Design for Manufacture/Assembly

  • Experience in creating and modifying text based and graphical work instructions to aid in the manufacturing process

  • Experience in projects leading

Additional Requirement:

The individual will be required to obtain clearance for work under military concession (regulated by act of 13 June 2019 on conducting business activities in the field of manufacturing and trading in explosives, weapons, ammunition and products and technology for military or police purposes).
