Boeing Poland is looking for an Engineering Manager to join our team located in Rzeszów, Poland.

The successful candidate will manage a team of Manufacturing Engineers performing technical activities in the area of Production Engineering.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing engineering and technical activities within Production Engineering

  • Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures, and establishes operational goals

  • Acquires resources for projects and processes, coordinates the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between project and team, finance, sourcing, and scheduling

  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports

  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes

  • Effectively communicates project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion

  • Manages, develops, and motivates employees

  • Manages via project deliverables, all technical and functional staff assigned to the project

  • Uses Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) to develop a robust operating and reporting rhythm for programs to ensure a successful outcome

  • Identifies and manage actively opportunities, risks, and issues to ensure effective resolution or mitigation, and coordinate required activities to ensure successful delivery

  • Delegates tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel

  • Identifies and resolves issues and conflicts within the project team

  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and the associated critical path(s)

  • Plans, schedules and manages project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools

  • Tracks and reports project status relative to the approved business case and scope, with transparency and insight into the overall health of the project

  • Develops and delivers progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations

  • Determines the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results and investigate problem areas

  • Proactively manages changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans

  • Defines project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout the project life cycle

  • Effectively runs Project meetings from project kick-off to post-implementation review ensuring all stakeholders meet their responsibilities

This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at the listed location. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualification (Preferred Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement

  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, engineering, or manufacturing environment

  • 2+ years of experience leading engineering teams

  • Extensive Project Management experience

  • Highly competent in using MS Office products in general

  • Solid communicator, fluent in both written and verbal English

  • Ability to quickly and effectively connect, collaborate, and partner with a broad range of customers, cross-functional stakeholders and direct reports

Preferred Qualification (Desired Skills/Experience) :

  • 1+ years of experience with machine shop processes

  • 1+ years of experience with working and detail and assembly parts
