Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a First Line Manufacturing Manager (level K) to support the Fabrication Team at the Airport and Northport buildings based in Salt Lake City, Utah

The Aerospace First Line Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing a team of technicians, mechanics, assembly installers, machine operators in the aerospace manufacturing environment. This role involves ensuring that production goals are met, quality standards are maintained, and safety protocols are followed. The First Line Manager will also be responsible for employee development, performance management, and fostering a collaborative team environment.

As a member of the Leadership team, you will continuously lead and develop Manufacturing Teams. A successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and coaching skills that will further enable our business unit to embrace and elevate a One BPS culture, driving a deep understanding of the One BPS principles, standards, production health and problem-solving model.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Manages employees performing activities in multiple manufacturing disciplines.
  • Develops and executes business plans, policies and procedures and develops organizational and technical strategies. Acquires resources, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements.
  • Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports.
  • Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes.
  • Manages, develops and motivates employees.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience in Aerospace, Fabrication, or manufacturing environment.
  • 1+ years of experience leading teams in a formal and /or informal leadership role.
  • 1+ years of experience with continuous process improvement initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years of experience mentoring, coaching, guiding and leading team
  • 3+ years of experience with Quality Management Systems and/or One Boeing Production System (One BPS)
  • 3+ years of experience communicating to employees, customers, peers and all levels of leadership
  • Ability to work 1st or 2nd shift and overtime as needed to support production.

Shift:

These positions are for 1st and 2nd shift and placement will be determined once candidates are selected. Must be willing to support on either shift.

Please note that the information shown below is a general guideline only.  Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.  

Summary pay range: $101,700 - $124,300
