Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA) is seeking Experienced Flight Readiness Technician Inspectors (FRTI – Level C) to support the Flight Line and Delivery Activity in San Antonio, Texas on variable shifts!

Position Responsibilities:

  • Performs verification, inspection of flight component installation, operational functional testing of aircraft systems and provides objective evidence of inspection results.

  • Verifies the accuracy of work performed and may conduct self-inspection and create non-conformance documents with minimal assistance.

  • Plans, schedules and arranges own activities with the assistance of lead.

  • Perform conformity inspections on aircraft structures, systems, and components.

  • Support audits, investigations, and ensure compliance to engineering specifications and FAA regulations

  • Maintain detailed and accurate inspection records

  • Performs auditing, surveillance and monitoring

  • Must maintain all necessary certifications to perform the job. 

  • Segregates and controls non-conforming items

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Must be able to work any shift including days, nights and weekends

  • 1+ years’ experience in the aerospace industry

  • 1+ years of experience in quality inspection and/or conformity inspection

  • Ability to read, understand, and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications

  • Understanding of FAA regulations and conformity processes

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license

  • Applicable and appropriate educational/certification credentials from an accredited institution and/or equivalent experience is required.

  • 1+ years of experience working with Velocity or other production applications

  • 1+ years of 787 Program Experience

  • Proficient in REDARS, PSDS, and BAC specifications

  • Proficient in all forms of NCR (Non-Conformance Record) and EPD (Emergent Process Document) generation (NC/NCR/RGEN/PU/SAT/SRR/PU or RGEN Revision etc.)

  • Experience using Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

  • 3+ year of flight line operations experience

  • Previous conformity and certification or ODA 8130-9 experience

Shift:   This position is variable shift (4th shift), meaning you will be placed on a shift at time of hire based on business needs. You will remain on that shift until re-evaluation.

Summary Pay Range: $73,950 – $100,050
